Guitar lessons in Plano, TX
Outside of design, I teach guitar. Over the years I’ve created dozens of diagrams in Adobe Illustrator to help students of all ages learn the fretboard — the same visual-thinking habit that shapes how I design.
The lessons are visual and diagram-based, built around the concepts that actually unlock the instrument: scale patterns, chord shapes, arpeggios, and the CAGED system. I owe much of how I think about teaching the fretboard to the late Ted Greene, whose work I still return to.
I’m also building Perception Shifter, a music perception training game. The diagrams below are a sample of what I post here for free for anyone who wants to learn.
